Sybil Shane created the artwork that is featured on As Life Changes. She inspires me with her creativity and elegant point-of-view on life's simplest pleasures.

Katherine Taylor Chocolates are hand-crafted here on Orcas Island. My friend, Julie and I enjoy going into their scrumptious Eastsound shop and treating ourselves to life's tastiest indulgence.

We have the finest independent bookstore here in Eastsound. Stopping in to see Jenny, Pam and Jean...having one of Scott's lattes...all this inspires my island life.

Madrona Point is one of the most sacred points of land I have ever walked upon. It's been closed to visitors for more than a year. In 2009 we hope to begin dialogues with the Lummi Tribe with a deep desire to heal misunderstandings and create a stewardship for this magnificent spot of heaven on earth.

Two of my favorite island artists and all around great women, Terrea Bennett and Lavelle Foos, from San Juan Island. I have several carved pieces designed and created by Lavelle here at Heartwood House. Terrea's artwork is all around the House, as well.
